Welcome to a new resource for college students seeking information on fraternity and sorority life. Also known as Greek Life, fraternity and sorority life is the collective groups of greek letter organizations represented by fraternities and sororities on college campuses.

Fraternities and sororites have a bad reputation because of a few bad organizations. These organizations have been reported in media sources such as TV, newspapers and other mediums as taking part in hazing, fighting, binge drinking and sometimes causing death to its members. Please note that those organizations do not reperesent the entire greek life community as a whole. Good greek letter organization understand the true meaning of fraternity and sorority life. These good organizations contribute to the community with community service, raising money for local charities, donate time to clean up the surrounding commuity, and try to make this world a better place.

Those who truely understand fraternity and sorority life are typically very active throughout college, are involved in many things outside of greek life, and are very sucessful after graduating college. These students are typically excellent communicators and are extremely well at working with others to accomplish goals.

Fraternities and Sororites

The terms "fraternity" and "sorority" (from the Latin words frater and soror, meaning "brother" and "sister" respectively) may be used to describe any number of social and charitable organizations. In the United States and Canada, fraternities and sororities are most commonly known as social organizations for higher education students.
